London Crafting

19 Jun Girl's pleated top pattern

My 3 week trip to London has been extended a little so whilst I’m here I thought I could use the time to dig out my old sewing machine.  A few extra project supplies were needed so a trip to the shops was the order of the day. I always used to head to John Lewis on Oxford Street to buy my fabric; out of habit more than anything else; but had I done a little more research I would have found Rolls and Rems on Seven Sisters Road.  Its well worth the visit as its crammed full of beautiful fabric suitable for every project you could imagine.  I used to run past it a couple of times a week so I have no idea why I’ve never noticed it before. 9 May wire work

Last month I attended The School‘s wire class which was held at The Establishment Studios in Prahran.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning of twisting and shaping wire into various words of our choice.  I took away three pieces and a whole lot more ideas.  It was hard not to feel inspired in the studio.  A huge airy space with shelves and shelves of photo props, all of which I would quite happily have taken home with me.  I captured just a few of the pieces to keep the inspiration at the front of my mind! Day 71: Scrabble Addicts

Scrabble

A whole day of Scrabble doesn’t provide a huge amount of photo inspiration so this screen shot was my last resort! The addiction has carried on all week and doesn’t appear to be abating, especially after a word score of 117. Sadly it wasn’t my word but I doubt I’ll be allowed to forget it quickly!
