Duck themed baby dress

After a little break from my sewing machine it was back out to make a present for a friend who is having a baby in September.  A group of us met up over the August bank holiday weekend for afternoon tea at The Charlotte Street Hotel for a low key Baby Shower.  This was my contribution.

After the dress for my niece I thought it would be nice to try and make an outfit for my friend Katie’s unborn baby girl.  This time I went for McCall‘s pattern M6541.  I trawled so many websites for the material and was really surprised at how low stock levels were on some sites.  In the end I opted for these these cottons from Abakhan.  I was thoroughly impressed with them – good prices and quick delivery.
