My 3 week trip to London has been extended a little so whilst I’m here I thought I could use the time to dig out my old sewing machine. A few extra project supplies were needed so a trip to the shops was the order of the day. I always used to head to John Lewis on Oxford Street to buy my fabric; out of habit more than anything else; but had I done a little more research I would have found Rolls and Rems on Seven Sisters Road. Its well worth the visit as its crammed full of beautiful fabric suitable for every project you could imagine. I’ve visited numerous fabric stores in Melbourne but Spotlight has proven to be the biggest temptation so far. They have so many fabrics I could have walked away with reams and reams. I have resisted temptation for the time being but only because I’ve promised myself I need to use up more of the fabric I already own before I buy any more. The School’s Wire Class at The Establishment Studios
9 MayLast month I attended The School‘s wire class which was held at The Establishment Studios in Prahran. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning of twisting and shaping wire into various words of our choice. I took away three pieces and a whole lot more ideas. It was hard not to feel inspired in the studio. A huge airy space with shelves and shelves of photo props, all of which I would quite happily have taken home with me.
